Beyond Engineering
Learn more about the things I do outside of my academics; my hobbies, part-time job roles, and volunteering positions.
Hobbies & Extracurriculars
Being part of the Aerodynamics team of UBRacing, I am able to apply my technical knowledge to practical motorsport project; building a competitive Formula Student car with a group of other student engineers.
Spending time in the gym creates a space for me to mentally unwind while improving my physical strength. I enjoy being challenged, and being able to set personal goals & having time to take a break from academics through activity.
Hiking allows my to combine two of my favourite pastimes; physical activity and seeing the world. Reaching new heights through hiking - both figuratively & literally - makes this a truly rewarding hobby for me.
Travelling & seeing the world gives me the ability to connect with different cultures and have a more inclusive worldview. Enjoying my experience of various countries across the globe has allowed me to have a heightening appreciation for many different cultures & communities.
I enjoy networking with fellow engineering & other professionals through events such as Advanced Engineering at the NEC. Speaking to other professionals with similar interests has given me a deeper knowledge of the vision I have for my own career & strengthened my drive to pursue engineering.
I enjoy both listening to and playing music; having learnt piano at a young age, I now play recreationally as a way to train my brain in an alternative way & take a break from fast paced life.

Inspiring the Next Generation
(04)
As a Black woman in engineering, I place great importance on being a representative of minorities in STEM. Supporting young people to feel secure and included in STEM fields is truly fulfilling.
Being a STEM Ambassador allows me to be a role model for the next generation of innovators, helping pave the way for the impactful ideas and projects they will complete as they carry on in their journey.
